How to clean your jewelry?

Cleaning your silver jewelry

It is completely normal for silver to oxidize over time.

To slow down the oxidation process, store jewelry in a dry place and avoid leaving it in contact with chemicals, sea/swimming pool water or perfumes.

If necessary, the jewelry can be cleaned with water and dishwashing liquid and a soft cloth.
In addition, a micro-fiber cloth or chamois can also revive the shine of silver that has tarnished.

Cleaning your brass jewelry

Brass oxidizes quite quickly because it is made of copper, a metal that oxidizes on contact with skin.

Oxidized brass becomes duller and discolors brown, or even green if the oxidation is at an advanced stage - what is called verdigris. This oxidation is harmless to the skin.

To clean brass, acidic products like tomato sauce or vinegar can be a good cleaning solution.
You must either immerse the part in the liquid, or scrub it with a very soft brush or using a soft cloth - be careful with hard brushes which could scratch the metal.
After rinsing with water, the metal becomes shiny as new again.
